I am a producer/writer/director with 40 years experience with public broadcasting. Started at CPB May, 1968, when it opened its doors, consider myself a \\"founder of the public broadcasting\\" Worked at CPB, WNET, WETA, WGBH, then became an independent producer. Served on two major task forces; one on minorities in public broadcast, the second on making PBS a production entity, not just a distributor, that lead to the hiring of the first Program Executive, Jennifer Lawson. In 2008 had to shut down ROP, due to financial meltdown, began a job at FEMA, Region 1 (covering New England). Retired Feb. of 2017, and took a year off to rest, relax, and see what the \\"muse\\" would bring forth. I now have an idea for a documentary on Puerto Rico\\'s future - how they\\'ll recover and rebuild their lives, their country and become more self-sustaining and resilient yet again, which is the reason I signed up for The Power of Narrative conference. Also working a book about my decade in the world of response, recovery and resilience, when at age 63 I started a new career and took in my 23-year-old niece, and together we forged our way to recover from our meltdowns, mine financial, hers emotional.
