Traditional media coasted for decades without having to think outside the box, adapt, or change--and it caught up with us.  It's easy to give up and complain about "new media,"  but that's what pessimists do! The optimist in the office is the first to raise their hand when there's new gear to learn or a new social platform to join; the optimist always thinks of new ideas that can benefit and make money for traditional media. If you believe traditional news is doomed because of new media, come to this talk. I am optimistic that you'll have a change of heart.
