Terrorism.  These acts of man and nature cut short the lives of everyday people who deserve to be honored in ink – and not just listed as one of many struck down by yet another tragedy.  But how do you bring to life the stories of those now gone, when the people who love and know them best are in shock and mourning? This session offers techniques on how to secure those interviews under deadline while maintaining sensitivity and respect to the grieving.  Los Angeles Times reporter Angel Jennings will reference two pieces, “Nipsey Hussle’s brother found him dying. These were his final moments” and an upcoming project.
